Meeting With Our Partners - Dec 2016

Katie and I had a wonderful trip to LA to meet our implementing partners JRS and iACT.  Father Eric gave a presentation on the challenges of youth education in Eastern Africa.  He shared chilling firsthand experiences of youth as they are pulled into de-humanizing circles like children militias, prostitution, and gangs.  We were very affected by the thoughts of our very own children being recruited into children militia where they are literally brain washed of normal human affection and emotions.  The poor children lose appreciation for life and love.  It is not okay!  It is not okay!  We dare not sit idly by while these horrible things are happening to too many kids around the world.

The point of the first schools that iACT has founded and implemented by JRS is that we can help kids get into these 'little ripples' programs at an early age or rescue a child that has already been recruited by these child militias and Re-Humanize them.  It is so powerful, and iACT is working this awesome program RIGHT NOW.  Our goal in 2017 is to raise enough money to sponsor a 'Pond' which is a first school built adjacent to a living quarters that a mother gets a job to assist around 40 preschool-1st grade aged children key early learning processes such as 'mindfulness', trauma recovery, mental health, and other reasoning topics.  Learn more at the iACT Website

Help us reach our goal of spawning a 'Pond' with iACT by coming to our race on September 23rd in Kaysville, UT, or donating directly to our foundation.  100% revenue from race or donation is directly donated to our education programs!

Breakfast with Father Eric, Father Endeshaw, and Gail Griffith from JRS.
